1. Company information
TranslateUK is operated by Translate UK, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using TranslateUK, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the service.
3. Licence to use the software
Translate UK grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use TranslateUK during your subscription period. You do not obtain ownership of the software. All intellectual property remains the property of Translate UK.
4. Account responsibility
- Maintaining the security of your account
- Ensuring data uploaded is lawful
- Managing access permissions within your organisation
Translate UK is not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from compromised credentials.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Upload illegal or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse engineer the platform
- Abuse API limits
- Use the platform to distribute malware
- Attempt to gain unauthorised system access
Violation may result in account suspension or termination.
6. Service availability
Translate UK aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Services may experience downtime due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or third-party provider outages.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Translate UK shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.
8. Termination
Translate UK may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time according to your plan terms.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the platform. Upon cancellation:
- Access continues until the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are issued for partial billing periods
- Data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation, after which it will be deleted
Translate UK reserves the right to offer refunds on a case-by-case basis at its discretion.
10. Age restriction
TranslateUK is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Translate UK does not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18.
11. Licensing model
TranslateUK is provided as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Licences are non-transferable, revocable, and limited to the subscription period. Subscriptions may include usage limits such as AI request quotas, storage limits, and user seat limits.
12. AI features disclaimer
Some features use artificial intelligence to generate summaries or insights. AI-generated outputs may contain errors, should not be considered professional advice, and should be reviewed before acting upon them. Translate UK does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.
Customer data submitted to AI features is used solely to generate responses for you. It is not used to train or fine-tune AI models and is not shared with other customers. AI prompts and responses are retained for a maximum of 30 days for service quality and debugging purposes.
13. Subprocessors
Translate UK uses trusted infrastructure providers to operate the service:

Translate UK will notify customers of any changes to subprocessors at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Dispute resolution
In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings. If negotiation fails, either party may submit the dispute to mediation under the rules of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) before initiating court proceedings.
16. Changes to these terms
Translate UK may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform or website. Continued use of the service after changes are communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
